This is what the Street of Hungarian Flavors was like.

Three days that will not be forgotten for a long time
This year’s 20 August was more special than ever. This year, the Ladányi Pan Manufactory had the chance to take part in the Street of Hungarian Flavours event in Budapest, where for three days visitors could discover what is made in Püspökladány.
For the team, this was not just an ordinary fair.
As a Hungarian manufactory, it was a special feeling to be present at an event that focuses on Hungarian gastronomy, tradition, local flavours and handcrafted products.
The Street of Hungarian Flavours attracted huge interest again in 2026. Despite the heat, large crowds visited the area around the Castle Garden Bazaar, and according to press reports, several hundred exhibitors awaited visitors.
One of the best experiences was when visitors stopped at the stand, picked up the pans and asked:
“What makes this pan special?”
And the answer could be:
Because it is Hungarian, made by this manufactory.
Many were surprised, as they did not even know that carbon steel pans are still manufactured in Hungary today. For several visitors, this fact alone was one of the most interesting parts of the encounter. Questions came pouring in.
These are not imported products sold under a Hungarian name. The Ladányi pan is the result of the manufactory’s own work, and this is why every opportunity to present it in person is especially important.
This is one of the greatest values of fairs: in a webshop, customers only see a photo, but at an event they can hold the pan in their hands, feel its weight, see the material and ask questions in person.
Over the three days, there were many conversations.
Some wanted to know whether the pans can be used on induction hobs. Others were curious about how to season them, how best to clean them, or why carbon steel is a good choice and what it can be used for.
Many also asked about the difference between natural and pre-seasoned pans, whether food sticks to them, whether they can be used over an open fire, how long they take to heat up and whether such a pan is really long-lasting.
These are exactly the kinds of questions that are appreciated. The aim is not simply to sell a carbon steel pan. It is also important that customers understand how it works, how to use it and what makes it a reliable kitchen tool for many years.
The reactions were truly special to see.
