Beginnings
As the saying goes, “it’s a pity that nothing remains of the good old things”!
How true. Many good things have been absorbed into modernization, whether kitchen utensils or anything else in everyday life. New things and new techniques appeared in the kitchen, and they were accepted. Pans were revolutionized, and people started using them. But are all new things really good? When coated pans appeared, everyone used them; they were new, and people trusted the brand. A lot of time has passed, and now the picture is much more nuanced. More attention is paid to health, to additives in industrially produced foods, and to the harmful effects of coatings. Many do not know that a health-damaging amount of substances can leach from the pan into the food if the surface of the coating is damaged or if the temperature rises above the indicated limit value.
Health is the priority, because when there is health, there is everything. This is how the design process began: to create a pan that is not harmful to health, is durable, and also has a refined appearance. It was considered important that the pan undergo laboratory leaching tests, providing safety for the customer and peace of mind during use. The design returned to tried-and-tested kitchen tools of the past, which can be used with metal utensils without damaging either the pan or its user, even if it gets scratched.
One year has passed since the pan was envisioned, designed, made, and thoroughly tested, leading to the creation of a new Hungarian value: the Ladányi pan. It was named after the town of Püspökladány, which is how the brand name “Ladányi pan” was born.
A piece of the past has been brought back, an inheritance from ancestors. Something has indeed remained of the good old things, something to be preserved and passed on to future generations.
